We talk a lot about how disruptive behaviour can captivate a market and how we’ve helped our clients go from stealth to wealth. But for us, there is nothing more exciting than being on the frontline of tech, and helping purposeful players craft and share their stories early on.
In 2016, we helped launch Silicon Valley based startup Rubrik in EMEA with a three day influencer tour and accompanying customer event. Since then, the cloud data management innovator has grown rapidly and attracted funding from Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Greylock Partners and angel investors. Rubrik achieved unicorn status in 2017 with a valuation of over $1.3 billion, cementing the company as one of the fastest growing enterprise infrastructure company in history!
Rubrik’s approach is simple, yet effective – the essential elements for any disruptive model. It builds simple use products for businesses to meet their most challenging data management needs. Blending expertise from consumer and enterprise worlds, it has pioneered a new approach to an old problem – and this is the reason Rubrik has raised over $292million in funding in just over 36 months, giving the company the potential to fundamentally disrupt the $48 billion legacy data backup and recovery market.
In fact, it’s well on its way. Since releasing its first product, Rubrik has seen unprecedented customer adoption, international expansion into five continents, industry recognition from the likes of Gartner, CRN and Forbes, and has posted record business growth. Not bad for a company founded just four years ago.
We’re excited to see where the Rubrik story leads. But if the enthusiasm that its story has received so far, such as the pieces secured in The Register, CRN, ZDNet and Business Insider, is anything to go by, we can expect more market disruption and from these guys…we’re certified #briklayers now!
