Listen with Love. Set your ideas free. Choose conversation. Messy human stories beat polish. Create like and artist. Follow your curiosity. Stand for something bigger. Protect your energy. Make it valuable in the real world. Stay true to your integrity.

Ten years ago, Sharon, our Director of Content, was part of small team that quite literally wrote the book on Valuable Content Marketing, and included an essential, valuable content marketing manifesto.

A lot has changed since then. Content has gone “big tech” — same-sounding, self-promoting, scale over substance, contrivance over craft.

But at its core, some things still hold: bring insight, share human stories, build relationships.

So, Sharon and the original team are back with an updated manifesto — a rebalancing of priorities in the age of AI and automation.

The emphasis has shifted. Help first. Listen with love. Protect your energy. Do fewer things, with more joy.

It’s a version shaped for how things feel now — where empathy matters more than output, and presence more than polish.
